Invoicing app for remodelers

Kitchen tear-out to final reveal. Logged tracks every photo, captures the signature, takes a deposit through Stripe, and prints a PDF the homeowner files for the appraisal. Works offline through every stage of the demo.

Why remodelers need a job log app

Project documentation belongs in one record

A remodel runs weeks. By month end you can't remember what week the demo finished. Logged ties every photo, line item, and payment to a single customer + job — a chronological record of the project ready for the appraisal, insurance file, or warranty record.

Deposits and balance invoices, tracked automatically

Send a deposit invoice, client pays a portion via Stripe (Pro), Partial badge appears. Send the balance at completion; the totals reconcile automatically and the job promotes to Paid when the full amount is reached.

Photos that prove the work

Before, in-progress, after — Logged groups photos by tag and embeds them under section headers in the PDF, each with timestamp and GPS. The homeowner gets a polished record. You get protection if a change-order dispute comes up later.

How Logged fits a remodeler's project

Estimate first, with photos and line items

Build the bid in Logged — materials, labor, subs, allowances. Add reference photos. Send as a web link the homeowner accepts in their browser.

Deposit invoice on signed acceptance

Estimate accepted? Generate the deposit invoice for partial payment. Stripe Pay Now collects the card. The balance is tracked until you close the job.

Final invoice with homeowner signature

At completion, capture the homeowner's signature on-screen. Generate the final invoice — before/after photos grouped in the PDF, signature embedded, total reconciled with the deposit already paid.

FAQ

Common questions from remodelers

Can I send an estimate with multiple line items for a remodel?
Yes — every estimate supports as many line items as you need, each with quantity, unit, and price. Photos embed in the estimate PDF and on the public web link the client sees.
Can I take a deposit and then bill the balance at the end?
Yes — Logged supports partial payments. Bill the deposit, client pays via Stripe, Partial badge appears. Bill the balance at completion; auto-promotes to Paid when the total is reached.
Do photos and signatures land in the final PDF?
Yes — every photo in the job (tagged Before, After, In Progress, or Other) shows up in the PDF under a section header. The client's signature is embedded below the totals.
Does Logged work in a gutted, signal-less basement?
Yes. Job creation, photo capture, line items, signature, and PDF generation all run offline. Sending the invoice email requires a connection — when you have signal again, tap Send.
Does Logged manage subs or multi-crew remodels?
No. Logged is built for solo operators. There are no team accounts, sub assignments, or crew permissions in v1.
